What is the Mediatory Release Test (MRT)?

The Mediator Release Test (MRT) measures your body’s immune reaction to 170 different foods and chemicals.  It is the most accurate and comprehensive test available for food sensitivity testing on the market (94.5% sensitivity & 91.7% specificity).  

This gives us information about which foods and chemicals in your diet are contributing to your health problems (for more information on how inflammation from food can be linked to health problems, click here).  Medications can mask your symptoms, but if you are sensitive to a food or chemical and being exposed to them day in and day out, you will continue to trigger inflammation in your body. 

Once we get your MRT test results (sample report), we develop an eating plan and I guide you through the process of your specialized elimination diet – allowing your immune system the time to calm down and reset itself, which gives your body a chance to heal.

I help you with understanding your reactive foods, provide shopping tips, recipe ideas, and eventually you re-introduce non-tested and reactive foods. We find out what ultimately works and what doesn’t work for you.

Know this:  We are not just measuring IgG or even compliment based immune reactions that many food sensitivity tests measure.  In fact, IgG is not necessarily produced in response to inflammation and can actually be protective, there is no way to know.   Watch these videos for more information about MRT testing.
